Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive):
Born of a Muggle-born wizard and a Muggle woman, Angelina grew up perfectly comfortable in both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds. She was raised in Muggle London, just a stone’s throw from Diagon Alley. Her father held a position at Gringott’s while her mother taught music at the local secondary school.
Angelina has been involved in the performing arts since she was a small child. She learned to play piano from her mother but eventually decided to focus on her voice. She also joined a ballet class after a school trip to The Nutcracker. Since then she's been a member of several dance groups, usually performing around London for charities. Her mother was a large humanitarian and kept Angelina busy during the summers. Angelina suspects it was to help her forget about the fact that her daughter was a witch.
Unfortunately, Angelina's mother was never really comfortable with her husband's abilities, especially since she didn't find out about magic until two years into their marriage when she had a screaming toddler on her arm. It was made ever worse by the fact that he only told her because a war was on. After that, magic and the magical world became a growing point of contention in the marriage. They divorced when Angelina was ten.
For two years*, Angelina lived with her father in Wizarding London, though she remained enrolled in muggle primary school. She saw her mum on weekends and holidays with increasing infrequency. During this time, Angelina came to appreciate another activity: Quidditch. She was obsessed with Quality Quidditch Supplies, spending her time after school there and saving her allowance for meager bits of gear like gloves and goggles, and rapt by the wireless game coverage. She begged her father to take her flying, and he would. It was one of the most amazing experiences she'd ever had.
Finally, she received her Hogwarts letter and excitedly went off to school. She was upset that First Years couldn't have brooms and rarely made the Quidditch team but she tried out for a spot anyway (on a school broom). She didn't make it so instead she joined Flitwick's choir. She made the team her second year. She made some of her best and longest lasting friendships in Gryffindor: Oliver Wood, Katie Bell, Alicia Spinnet, Fred and George Weasley. She was an only child and her teammates and schoolmates became her family at Hogwarts.
Then tragedy struck; Angelina's father suffered a pulmonary embolism, killing him suddenly in his office at Gringotts. Angelina was given special permission to return to London for the funeral and missed a week of November classes. Afterward, Angelina came under her mother's custody. Her first night back in her former home, Angelina watched her burn her father's wand.
For the next seven years, Angelina would concentrate on Quidditch in school and pick up her artistic studies on holidays, maintaining a a strained relationship with her mother. She also developed a casual relationship with Fred Weasley. When she graduated, she followed the Twins into in the Order and was present for the Battle of Hogwarts.
Five years later, her relationship with Fred took a sudden turn when Fred began to see Katie Bell, one of their best friends. Their casual relationship had never excluded other lovers but this time Angelina realized there was something different. It wasn't a smooth transition by any means but today Angelina is just pleased that her friends are happy together. She doesn't mind being an 'Auntie' either.
At the time of the drama, however, she moved in with Alicia. But after Alicia's murder, Angelina wasn't sure where she fit in anymore. The people she knew and loved were dying or pairing off, and she was left alone. The urge to get away grew and she left with her dancing troupe on a tour of Europe. Alicia's quidditch fortune--which Angelina had inherited along with the house--sat untouched. She started a fund for those kids who wanted to learn quidditch but didn't have the money for equipment or brooms. She let the running of it be handled by Alicia's barrister, and knows that Alicia would have been glad with how her money was spent.
When she returned, she lived on the money from her dance group's earnings, her performances at the Avalon, and what she made while working at the Happy Hearth Bakery. During this time she also fell into an unusual relationship with Astoria Greengrass and Marcus Flint. It was tumultuous but also one of the best times of her life. Unfortunately, this arrangement came to an end after an incident in a back alley in which Angelina witnessed Marcus doing one of the things he did best. Shaken by the knowledge of who Marcus was now, she compared him to the Marcus from her memories of the future and was left wanting. Realizing that she couldn't stay in a relationship based on her feelings for a person that may exist one day but not now, she removed herself from Salvus Domus and once again left for the continent.
If there was one thing she was good at, it was running.
Now, four months later, she's back and ready to begin again once more.
Profession: Still singing at the Avalon. Looking into employment opportunities.

Angelina's visual representation is Zoe Saldana.
