Callum Wildsmith

Player Info:
Name: Kate
Character Audition Questions:
Name: Callum Patrick Wildsmith
Age and date of birth: July 7, 1970
Physical description: Callum is well over six feet tall with dark ash blond hair that he tends to keep cropped short. He's very fit, muscles honed from the many sports in which he participates. His eyes are a cool, cloudy blue that can be quite piercing when he's intent on something.
Parents’ Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): The Wildsmiths did not support Voldemort, but as a pure-blooded family they were cognizant of the fact that not making any moves against him was the safest course of action and the easiest way to keep a low profile.
Personal Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): Much like his parents, Callum did what he could to avoid the fray altogether. It wasn't his battle to wage. There were occasions when he helped on an individual level; assisting a few friends out of the country when he felt it could be done without suspicion and things of that nature. His humanitarian impulses are generally limited to those for whom he cares.
How do people perceive this character: Callum can come off as self-satisfied and superior. He doesn't feel the need to talk all the time,
Greatest fear: Existing, rather than living.
Greatest passion: Pushing his limits. Callum is all about testing himself and seeing how much he can endure. He's also a bit of an adrenaline junkie.
Aspiration: To die knowing he'd taken on every challenge he faced. He's very good at applying this to his pastimes, but it hasn't really occurred to Callum that personal relationships are challenges to be conquered, too.
Greatest Positive Attribute: Perseverance and a clear head.
Biggest Fault: He can be judgmental, and while Callum is rarely openly rude, he's not overly concerned with saving anyone's feelings.
Happiest Memory: Completing the Iditarod for the first time.
Most painful Memory: He doesn't really have one. Callum is pretty reserved with his true affection. Not many people get close enough to hurt him.
Does your character value the purity of blood:
He understands its worth and the circles in which he can trade that sort of currency. A mongrel may whelp a litter of excellently tempered, loyal, and intelligent pups, but they will never be show dogs.
Is your character "pure-blooded," a "half-blood" or "Muggle-born": Pure-blooded

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive):Callum is a descendent of Ignatia Wildsmith, who invented floo powder. His family owns the largest floo powder distributor in the wizarding world and receives a percentage of all floo powder sales from all other distributors, making the Wildsmith family among the wealthiest in Britain.
Sorted into Hufflepuff at Hogwarts, Callum got good marks but never aspired to make prefect or Head Boy. He was on the Quidditch team, playing Chaser from his third year through his seventh. Callum liked the rush of dodging bludgers as he raced through the air toward the goal hoops. That was his first taste of thrill seeking, and it set the tone for his activities outside of school.
When he was twenty-one, he set his sights on the Iditarod and found he loved dog sledding. His team has changed over the years, but he always has a collection of Huskies, Malamutes, and Tamaskans at home. It was his connection to the animals that led him to train to become an animagus. It came as no surprise that his animal form was a Siberian Husky.
These days, Callum enjoys just about any outdoor sporting activity. He likes to go out on his boat to swim, scuba, and deep sea fish. He's tried his hand at skydiving and base jumping. Next on his to-do list is a trip up Mt. Everest, though his mother wishes he'd just settle down.
Profession: Eventually Callum will take over the family business, but for now he's a man of leisure. His father isn't ready to step down and Callum is in no hurry to be tied to a desk.

Callum's visual representation is Paul Walker.
