Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive):

Demelza was born into a family with little money. Much like the Weasley family, the Robins had many children; though they did not look after them with the same care and devotion. Demelza was born in the middle of five siblings, all of whom went to Hogwarts with her. She grew up believing the world owed her something. She still believes this. Her family never worked too hard for anything, including her siblings, who never cared whether they had money or not. They had a home, food, clothes; for them, that was enough. Demelza, on the other hand, cared about these things. She was ashamed at having to go to Hogwarts with hand-me-down clothes and never having any money to spend on Hogsmeade weekends.

She was sorted into Gryffindor for her bravery. This usually comes off as stubbornness, though. She was a chaser for the house team throughout six years of her time at Hogwarts. Demelza had thought this would bring her glory, something that would be a stepping stone to bigger and better things. She never really took to her studies and she got so-so marks on all of her exams. She believed that wealth was something she would just happen upon, by marriage or a job that would drop into her lap.

When she graduated from Hogwarts, she didn't look for a job very hard. Finally, after two months of living with her family sulking, her father pulled strings for her (what little he could) and got her a job in the owl room. After that, she worked up the ladder, getting various receptionist jobs until she got to where she is now, working for the next in line in the Department of International Magical Cooperation.

As Demelza got into the world a little, she realized her belief of sitting back and waiting for things to change was incorrect. It was not getting her the things she wanted. She was approached by the Liberi a few years after beginning at the Ministry, and has thrown herself into that ever since. For the Liberi, she gets into people's lives and blackmails them into donating to the cause. Rich men find they can't say no to a few incriminating snaps.

Profession: Demelza is a receptionist for Spencer K. Mahmood, the head of The International Confederation of Wizards in The Department of International Magical Cooperation under Eva Woodward.
