Name: Vicky
Character Audition Questions:
Name: Liam Dorian Gray
Age and date of birth: February 29, 1968 (36)
Physical description: Liam stands at 6'3" with knowledgeable and piercing hazel eyes. His hair is usually cut short enough to his head that it doesn't need to be messed with on a daily basis, but long enough that it could be given a good tug. He is often seen with scruff on his chin after not having shaved for several days.
Parents Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): His father was killed in a duel with another wizard (the cause of the fight is unknown) and his mother, unsure how to raise a son with magic, left him at an orphanage at the age of two. He does not know their personal allegiences.
Personal Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): The Ministry. He's worked hard for years to get to the position he is in. He believes that the Ministry is there for an important reason, and he's done his best to be a part of the good he knows it's capable of.
How do people perceive this character: Liam is a kind, gentle, loving family man. When he passes others in the hall, he gives and is given smiles. The people who know him know that if they are in trouble, or if they need anything, they can go to him for help. He is calm, rarely stressed even in stressful situations.
Greatest fear: Losing his family. His children and wife are the lights of his life, and every waking moment outside of work is spent with them, making them laugh and bending to their every girlish whim.
Greatest passion: Working to make the world a better place for his family. He wants his girls to grow up in world where they are free to be themselves, regardless of blood status and racial stereotypes.
Aspiration: He's achieved much more than he ever thought he would, and is more than happy just to live out the rest of his days surrounded by his family, doing work he believes in.
Greatest Positive Attribute: Liam is honest, completely unflappable, and sincere in his every word. People listen to him because he is truthful and engaging, and it would never enter his mind to use this to his advantage.
Biggest Fault: Liam trusts people too easily. He would like to believe that, at their core, most people are good. He is a bit too much of an optimist at times, but doesn't mind the idea of his daughters knowing that he sees the best in people.
Happiest Memory: A tie between he birth of his daughters and the look of his wife in her wedding dress, walking down the aisle towards him.
Does your character value the purity of blood: No. He values the integrity of people.
Is your character "pure-blooded," a "half-blood" or "Muggle-born": Half-blood.

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive):
Anything before Liam met his wife and began his family is of little matter to him.
His early teenage years were filled with the usual rebelliousness that comes with the age, and he was a typical student at Hogwarts, happier to spend time clowning around with his friends instead of studying like he should have.
After graduation, he was at loose ends, unsure what to do with himself. He found a job as a security guard at the Ministry, collecting wands as visitors arrived in the atrium. Determination to be good at something had Liam moving up in the Security department, becoming a supervisor after only a few years. Overseeing the background checks of new employees, Liam was introduced to Naomi, a woman applying for a secretarial position.
Little did he know that the Hufflepuff would be his future wife and the mother to his children.
Their love took time, building steadily over the course of their dating, and it wasn't until he was sure that he proposed. Naomi said yes, and they were married in a small ceremony. A year later, the family Liam had never had growing up was being created. His daughters, Sienna and Rachel, were born, immediately stealing Liam's heart.
While spending as much time with his new family outside of work as he could, Liam continued to move up the ranks in Ministry security. After his boss retired, he was offered the position of Head of the Department, which he took on, with the condition that he be allowed to visit his wife at home for lunch each day.
Liam has felt the tension crackling like electricity in the air, the whispers of a group looking to fill the void that He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named left. He knows, however, that the only way that the wizarding world will survive is to stay together as a united front, something he believes only the Ministry can offer. He is doing everything he can to play his part, if not for himself, then for the safety of his family.
