Name: Miles Candlish Bletchley
Age and date of birth: June 14, 1978
Physical description: Miles is just under six feet tall, with dark blonde hair and blue-green eyes. He’s slim, but not skinny.
Parents’ Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): Miles’ father has worked for the Ministry for many years, but to say he is allied with the government would be an overstatement. Mrs. Bletchley was a pure-blood elitist with familial connections to Voldemort. She passed away when Miles was eight.
Personal Allegiance: (DE, OotP, Ministry, etc.): Miles has no desire to call any person or group his master. If the actions of a particular faction can benefit him, he might be convinced to assist them, but he will never put the interests of a ‘cause’ before his own.
How do people perceive this character: Reserved, unemotional, intelligent.
Greatest fear: To be subservient to anyone.
Greatest passion: Winning.
Aspiration: His own advancement.
Greatest Positive Attribute: His ability to remain calm and rational. Miles is slow to anger and careful about what he says and does.
Biggest Fault: He’s very closed off emotionally. Very few people truly know Miles.
Happiest Memory: The birth of his twin half-siblings, Alistair and Anne, who are ten years his junior and both in Slytherin. Miles was a lonely child and despite their difference in age, he’s quite fond of his brother and sister.
Most painful Memory: Miles knows the death of his mother was a very painful experience, but it was very long ago and he doesn’t think about it much anymore. Aside from that, probably the most painful event in his life was when he realized a half-blood girl he’d dated for over a year was hoping the relationship would progress to marriage. Knowing he would never offer that no matter how much he’d grown to care for her, he broke things off.
Does your character value the purity of blood: Certainly. Any pure-blood who doesn’t value their status is a fool. Miles does consort with people of lesser blood, but he would never consider breeding with one.

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive): Miles’ childhood was fairly typical, although as an only child in his early years he tended to be lonely. His father remarried not long after his mother’s death and his half-siblings were born shortly thereafter. Miles looked forward to Hogwarts breaks so that he could spend time with Ali and Anne, and he occasionally invites them to visit him in London when his caseload is light.

Profession: Miles is a solicitor with his own practice. His ambition and cunning serve him well in this arena, and a fair percentage of his cases are taken at the behest of the Liberi.
