Name: Percy Ignatius Weasley

Physical description: Percy is tall and lean, with long dark hair and no freckles, at least while he's still undercover. Frameless glasses are still perched on the end of his nose, and his eyes are still a brilliant blue. The tips of his fingers are always stained with ink.

How do people perceive this character?: Dead. To the people who don't think he's dead, Percy is a man who is reserved and tends to blend into the crowd. Most are surprised by his sharp wit and knowledge on most subjects. He's nowhere near as much of a prat as he used to be.
Greatest fear: Not knowing what's right and wrong; the shades of grey in between.
Greatest passion: Reading.
Aspiration: His aspiration is to live to a very old age, then die peacefully.

Describe the character's personal history (however brief or extensive):

Early:

Percy is the third of seven Weasley children and often suffers from somewhat of a middle child syndrome. Quiet and a bit of a bookworm, Percy was teased mercilessly by his siblings, especially by Fred and George. He’s a big stickler for the rules, usually to the word more than the spirit of the law. He’s often been described as a stick in the mud. He delighted in being made a Prefect and Head Boy, and later at being under Fudge in the Ministry.

The Second War:

He sided with the Ministry during the War, and they used his break from his family as an opportunity to recruit him into the Unspeakables. Percy functioned as a spy for the Ministry, and when he was captured by Death Eaters, he was sure he was going to die. Thaddeus Mulciber had orders to have Percy killed.

That didn't happen. One of the Death Eaters in the group that captured Percy was also an Unspeakable, and his orders were to get Percy out alive, but send another body in his stead. The Unspeakable managed to convince Mulciber that Percy was dead. Percy still does not know who this was to this day. Since the Unspeakables handle the deceased, it was easy enough to have a false corpse identified and buried. The Department Head figured that he could continue to use Percy elsewhere, and didn't allow him to contact anyone he knew to let them know he was all right.

He knows, however, that he needed to be kept hidden. If he had shown up alive, the other Unspeakable's life would be forfeit, as well as anyone that Percy cared for, and his own life. Mulciber would try to complete his mission, no matter what it took.

Now:

For the past 6 years Percy's been working undercover in the Bulgarian Ministry as an Archivist, posing as a distant cousin of an old Pureblooded family. He grew his hair out, kept it dark with potions, and kept his freckles covered. He astutely avoided most people and blended in, better than anyone else thought he would. It almost killed Percy to be that close to a family member, Charlie, and not be able to make any kind of contact. However, because of his vicinity to Charlie, he was able to keep tabs on his family. He regrets that he was not able to be at George's funeral.

It's time for him to come home to England. The department is making cuts, and he is no longer needed in Bulgaria. Mulciber is behind bars, caught by Auror Jonathan Savage in the Americas, and Percy no longer needs to remain hidden. He'll have to come back slowly, and will stay in his Bulgarian guise, helping out his family in secret, until it really is safe for them to reunite.
